Mauser C-96 Wartime Commercial "Broomhandle" semi-automatic pistol with shoulder stock rig. Made circa 1914. Right side of the frame is marked "WAFFENFABRIK MAUSER/OBERNDORF A NECKAR", while the top of the chamber is marked "WAFFENFABRIK/MAUSER/OBERNDORF A/N". Commercial "(CROWN) / U" proofs on the side of the chamber and charging handle. No import mark found. All exterior serial numbers (320) are matching. Standard round barrel with large blade front sight and a rear sight adjustable to 1000 meters. Factory straw blued finish with fire blue on the extractor, trigger, safety, and rear sight ladder. 34 line wood grips with a slotted back strap. Lanyard stud and ring are present. Includes a walnut shoulder stock/holster. Stock tang is numbered "241". No other visible markings. Two large cracks in the top of the holster, in addition to a gouge on the door. Leather harness is dated "1916" under the "WIDERMANN/BERLIN N.39" makers stamp. Extra magazine spring and clearing tool retained on the holster. CONDITION: Metal retains 70% of its straw and fire blue with some wear. Finish near the muzzle has formed a nice patina. Grips have light wear. Frosted bore, retaining good overall rifling. Mechanically fine. Stock has finish wear and the fore-mentioned issues. Harness has crazing and wear, in addition to a broken top strap. JWA
