Lot consist of: (A) Remington Model 742 Woodsmaster semi-automatic rifle presented to Elmer Keith. Made 1967. Left side of the receiver reads "PRESENTED TO/ELMER KEITH/BY REMINGTON ARMS COMPANY/AT THE 1967/FIREARMS EDITORS' SEMINAR/MERRY MEETING BAY, MAINE", all inside an engraved scroll. Besides that, the rifle is a standard Remington 742. Round, steel barrel with factory blade and rear leaf sights. Blued finish on the barrel and receiver. Gloss finished wood stocks with checkering on the forearm and wrist. Buttpad is factory hard plastic. Factory drilled for a scope mount. CONDITION: Metal retains 98% of its original finish.
