Winchester Model 1894 lever action rifle built in 1899. Blued octagon "Nickel Steel" barrel with large blade front sight, full magazine and special order smokeless three leaf rear sight. Winchester address and patents on top flat in front of sight with caliber marking on top flat near breech and barrel configuration on left flat. Blued receiver with plain trigger, case hardened lever, and hammer. Walnut plain stock with crescent steel butt. Walnut plain forearm with blued nosecap. CONDITION: 60% original barrel and magazine tube blue with balance turning a shade of plum. Action has had a coat of cold blue. Wood has added coat of varnish with some heavy usage marks including a small chip next to frame in forend. Stock has crack going from buttplate to middle of stock. Bore is dark with visible rifling and some pitting. Good mechanics. DLM
