Winchester Model 1917 bolt action rifle. Made May 1917 with correct Winchester marked "W/5-18" barrel. Stock is "W' for Winchester stamped. "R" marked bolt for Remington. All other small parts are marked "E" for Eddystone. Stock has a boxed "RIA/FK" arsenal rebuild stamp and an "OHA/1919" inspector stamp on the left hand side. Standard blade front sight with adjustable ladder rear. Original finish on the metal parts. Oil finished wood stock with smooth steel butt plate and trapdoor. CONDITION: Metal retains 50% of its original finish with wear and handling marks. Wood is very good with minor scratches, dings and dents. Bore is clean with crisp rifling. Mechanically fine. JWA
