A lovely turtleback leaded glass lamp produced by Tiffany Studios. The 16” shade features a band of beautiful, chunky turtleback tiles that display intense iridescence in reflected light, shifting to a rich emerald green in transmitted light. The turtlebacks are set against a geometric background of green and cream colored mottled glass. The leading is finished in a red-brown patina with verdigris accents. Shade is in very good condition with some scattered hairline cracks, which are tight and stable. The shade is properly signed "Tiffany Studios New York 1434". The shade sits atop a bronze patinated and gilt Tiffany Studios “Double Scroll” base. The base stands 22” to the top of the heat cap. It is finished in a deep red patina with the scrolling done in gold. The three-socket cluster appears to have been replaced at some point. The base is signed "Tiffany Studios New York 584". The heat cap appears to have been replaced.
