FN Herstal Mauser Sporter bolt action rifle. Receiver made in Belgium with Belgian proofs on the left side of the chamber. Bolt is German proofed, as is the trigger guard, most likely being used from a military Mauser. Round steel barrel with blade front, and two position U notch rear sight. Commercial blued finish on the barrel, receiver and trigger guard. Bolt is in a military style blue finish. Hardwood stock with checkering on the wrist. Checkered plastic butt plate. Sling swivels on the heel and barrel. CONDITION: Metal retains 95% of its re-applied finish with light wear and handling marks. Wood is very good with light scratches and scrapes. There is a large scratch on the right side of the stock running from the checkering to in front of the chamber area. Bore is shiny with sharp rifling. Mechanically fine. JWA
