Lot consists of: (A) Whitney No. 1-1/2 single action revolver. Made 1871-1879. Octagon barrel marked "WHITNEYVILLE ARMORY CT. USA/PAT MAY 23,1871". Fluted cylinders. Blade front sight. Barrel, cylinder pin, and cylinder have been reblued. Brass frame with rosewood grips. CONDITION: Metal retains 90% of its re-applied finish. Frame shows sign of heavy polish. Grips are very good with light handling marks. Bore is dark with some minor surface rust. Tight hammer and cylinder. Mechanically fine with good timing. (B) Whitney No. 1-1/2 single action revolver. Made 1871-1879. Octagon barrel marked "WHITNEYVILLE ARMORY CT. USA/PAT MAY 23,1871". Fluted cylinders. Blade front sight. Barrel, cylinder pin, and cylinder have been reblued. Brass frame with rosewood grips, which have been refinished at some point. CONDITION: Metal retains 70% of its original finish with general wear and patina. Brass has a slight tarnish to it. Grips have light handling marks. Fair bore with some light pitting and frosting, with good rifling. Cylinder has slight timing issue. Hammer is tight. Mechanically operable. (C) Whitney No. 1-1/2 single action revolver. Made 1871-1879. Octagon barrel marked "WHITNEYVILLE ARMORY CT. USA/PAT MAY 23,1871". Fluted cylinders. Blade front sight. Barrel, cylinder pin, and cylinder, originally blued, have worn to a patina. Brass frame with rosewood grips. CONDITION: Metal retains little to none of its original finish with general wear and patina. Brass frame showing signs of tarnish. Light scratches on the grips. A few areas of minor pitting in the bore, with good overall rifling. Mechanically inoperable. Cylinder does not rotate when cocked. Hammer is tight though. JWA
