Sharps Model 1863 converted to cartridge circa 1867. Round three groove rifled barrel with blade front sight and graduated flip sight and no markings. Case hardened action with remnants of Sharp's patent dates on left side with slide rail and saddle ring. Walnut plain stock with no patchbox and unvisible rebuild cartouche. Walnut plain forearm with spring held iron barrel band (marked with an "U"). CONDITION: Gun has seen heavy usage with metal showing signs of pitting and action turning a solid brown patina. Wood has heavy usage marks with a crack at toe and an oil soaked appearance. Pitted bore with functioning mechanics. DLM
