L.C. Smith No. 2 Grade side by side shotgun made in 1898. Damascus Steel barrels with matted rib, twin beads, and extractors. Case hardened regular frame with fine scroll engraving and Quail in circle on each lockplate. Gun has double triggers and 3-position automatic safety. Walnut checkered pistol grip stock with black grip cap and bakelite buttplate. Walnut checkered splinter forearm with ebony triangular inlay and dog's head in circle inlay. CONDITION: 60% original Damascus pattern remaining with balance fading to a silvery patina. Action has faded to a silvery patina. Wood has traces of varnish with checkering wearing flat. Small chip repair behind right lockplate. Buttplate has small chip broken out on left side. Good bores with good mechanics. DLM
