Colt Model 1878 hammer side by side shotgun made by Colt Firearms Hartford, Connecticut in 1880. Damascus steel barrels with smooth rib marked with "COLT"S PT. F.A. MFG. CO HARTFORD CT USA" with brass bead front sight and extractors. Engraved case colored hammer frame with double triggers marked on each lock "Colt's PTFA MFG. Co.". Walnut round knob checkered pistol grip stock with bakelite rampant Colt logo. Walnut checkered splinter forearm with ebony inlay and latch release. CONDITION: Metal has been cleaned with barrels having small dent in left barrel visible inside. Wood has been cleaned with checkering recut. Pitted bores with tight lock up and good mechanics. DLM
