Remington Model 1882 side by side hammer shotgun made by E. Remington and Sons Ilion, New York from 1882 to 1889. Damascus steel barrels with smooth concave rib marked "E. Remington and Sons Ilion, N.Y." with bead front sight and extractors. Case hardened scroll engraved action with double triggers and flash protectors on barrel lugs. Walnut checkered round knob pistol grip stock with checkered bakelite buttplate. Walnut checkered splinter forearm with ebony inlay and latch release. CONDITION: 10% remaining original Damascus finish with balance turning a silvery patina. Action faded to a silvery patina with right hammer screw missing. Wood has been cleaned with checkering recut. Pitted bores with good mechanics. DLM
