W. W. Greener made side by side hammerless shotgun made in England circa the late 19th century. Gun has "Twist" Damascus Steel barrels with concave matted rib marked in oval at breech "Patent No 3084 Wedge Fast" and "W.W. Greener. 68 Haymarket London Winner at the London Gun Trials 1875,1877, 1878 and 1879 ". The "Wedge Fast" would later be known as the "Facile Princep" model. Case hardened boxlock full coverage scroll engraved frame with Greener style side safety and crossbolt and ejectors. Gun comes with double triggers. Walnut round knob pistol grip stock with leather faced recoil pad and German silver vanity shield. Walnut splinter checkered forearm with latch release and horn tip. CONDITION: Barrels worn to a silvery patina with action showing fading traces of case colors. Wood has traces of original varnish with usage dings and marks. Recoil pad shows age disintegration. Shootable bores with some light frosting. Gun locks up tight with ejectors being a little sluggish. DLM
