Belgian made external hammer double barrel shotgun imported for "Charles Daly" circa 1910. Damascus steel barrels with smooth concave rib marked "Wm. R. Schaefer & Son. Boston". Case hardened frame marked "Charles Daly" on each lock with line and scroll engraving. Double triggers and bead front sight. Walnut checkered half pistol grip stock with extra thick bakelite buttplate. Walnut checkered splinter forearm with bone inlay and latch release. CONDITION: 10% original Damascus scene with balance turning a silvery brown. Action colors fading to a brown patina with traces of case in protected areas. Wood has traces of original finish with handling marks and dings. Pitted bores with good mechanics. DLM
