Over under percussion rifle made by "B. Losey" Caroline, New York circa 1850. Full octagon smoothbore barrel with rifle front sight and adjustable rear sight over full octagon rifled barrel marked "B. Losey" on right side above bottom nipple. Hardwood ramrods mounted on each side between barrels. Gun has pewter frame with single back action lock for top barrel and external mechanism connected to the same single trigger for the bottom barrel. Walnut plain buttstock with engraved German silver 4 piece patchbox and Federal Eagle inlay on left side. CONDITION: Metal showing aged brown patina with wood having gouges showing slip and fall damage. Silver remains unpolished with aged look. Dark shootable bores with good mechanics. DLM
