Over under percussion muzzle loading rifle shotgun made by William E. Robbins of Cherry Flats, Tioga County, Pennsylvania circa 1847 to 1861. Half round half octagon rifled barrel stamped "W.E. Robbins" with blade front sight and notched fixed rear sight over a smooth bore 16 gauge shotgun barrel. Gun has provisions for hardwood ramrods between barrels on each side. Pewter frame with back action locks controlled by double set triggers. Walnut stock with brass furniture including an oval capbox. German silver stock inlay in the shape of a Federal Eagle. CONDITION: Metal turning a brown patina with some light freckling. Wood has worn look with usage marks and dings. Good shootable bores with visible rifling. Good mechanics. DLM
