German external hammer Drilling made by C. Stiegele in Munich, Germany circa late 19th Century. Krupp steel barrels with matted rib marked "KGI Bayr HofGewehrfabrik v. C. Stiegele jun Munchen" with rifle front sight and fixed replaced rear sight. Left barrel marked "PRIMA-KRUPPSCHER" and right barrel has "FLUSS-STAHL". Case hardened underlever opener action with top lever rifle selector switch and flip up peep sight. Double triggers and extractors with front trigger being a set trigger. Walnut checkered pistol grip stock German style accented cheekpiece. Horn buttplate and grip cap. Walnut checkered splinter forearm with latch release. CONDITION: Metal parts fading to a silvery patina with some light freckling. Wood has added coat of varnish with checkering worn flat on forearm. Buttplate shows some age disintegration. Pitted shotgun bores with dark rifle bore with visible rifling. Good mechanics. DLM
