1882 vintage Winchester Model 1873 Second Model lever action saddle ring carbine, serial number 83422. 20" round barrel with full length magazine tube, chambered in .44-40 WCF. Folding rear carbine sight with graduations from 100 to 300 yards and carbine front sight. 2 piece plain walnut stock and carbine forearm with carbine buttplate. CONDITION: Very good with original bluing fading to a blue-gray patina with moderate wear. Stock and forearm are very good overall with moderate to heavy denting and gouging but are strong and retain most of their original finish. Cartridge elevator is turning a pleasing mustard patina. Action works correctly. Bore is dark with moderate to heavy abrasion but visible rifling. -TN-
