1891 Vintage Winchester Model 1873 lever action rifle, serial number 397134B. 24" half octagon to round barrel chambered in .38-40 Winchester Center Fire (.38 WCF) and button magazine tube with standard rear sight and German silver blade front. 2 piece plain walnut stock and forearm complete with rifle forearm cap and rifle buttplate with trap for cleaning rod (trap is empty). CONDITION: Very good with almost all of the original finish turning to a brown gray patina with scattered light to moderate handling and storage marks. Stock and forearm are very good, with added coat of varnish fading but no discernable cracks or repairs. Scattered moderate to heavy handling marks overall on stock and forearm. Action works appropriately. Bore is frosted with moderate to heavy wear and good rifling. -TN-
