Early Winchester Model 1892 Takedown lever action rifle made in 1894, serial number 44063. The takedown feature for the Model 1892 was introduced in 1893. 24" octagon barrel chambered in .32-20 WCF with full length takedown magazine tube and standard front and rear sights. 2 piece, plain walnut stock and forearm complete with rifle forearm cap and rifle buttplate. CONDITION: Good, with virtually all of the original finish turned to a dove gray patina with minor pitting throughout. Stock and forearm are very good retaining almost all of their original finish with slight dents and wear throughout. Slight live crack at bottom tang at wrist. Action works correctly when cycled by hand. Takedown feature is slightly loose but works properly. Bore is dark with visible rifling. -TN-
