1905 vintage Winchester Model 1892 lever action rifle, serial number 287098. 24" octagon barrel chambered in .38-40 Winchester Center Fire (.38 WCF) with full length magazine tube. 2 piece, plain walnut stock and forearm with rifle forearm cap and rifle buttplate. CONDITION: Good, with most of the original bluing remaining with moderate to heavy pitting overall on blued assemblies. Receiver assembly has faded to a dull gray with scattered pitting throughout. Stock and forearm are excellent as sanded and refinished with no discernable cracks and moderate wear. Action works correctly. Bore is dark with good rifling. -TN-
