Ansley H. Fox "A" Grade serial number "422" side by side shotgun made in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania in 1907. Krupp steel barrels marked "Heavyweight Barrels" on each barrel in front of the barrel flats. Case hardened early style engraved frame with fine border line and scroll "A" Grade engraving. Gun has extractors, double triggers, and automatic safety. Walnut checkered round knob pistol grip stock with hard rubber serrated buttplate. Walnut checkered splinter forearm with latch release. CONDITION: 50% original barrel blue with some nicks and dings in the left barrel not visible inside. Barrels possibly cut with solder missing between barrels. Action has faded to a silvery patina with wood having traces of original varnish with handling marks and dings. Good bores. Hinge slightly worn but gun locks up tight and functions. An early graded Fox with some life left in it. DLM
