German Cape gun built by E. Schmidt and Habermann, Suhl, Germany, circa late 19th or early 20th century. Blued "Krupp" Steel barrels with matted rib with blade front sight and notched rear fixed sight with flip up notched long range sight. Case hardened round 2 lug frame with back action locks and exposed hammers. Double triggers with front being a set for rifle. Rear tang lifts into a peep sight. Walnut checkered stock with cheekpiece, grip cap, and added buttplates. Walnut checkered splinter forearm with latch release. Comes with sling swivels and has "FM KEIDEL MITTERNDORF SALZKGT" painted on right side of stock. CONDITION: 80% barrel blue with receiver fading to a silvery patina. Wood has minor usage dings and scratches with butt area in need of repair replacement of buttplates. Good bores and mechanics. DLM
