Percussion half stock side action often called a "Mule Ear" action made circa 1850. Browned octagon rifled barrel with pin front sight and adjustable rear. "Mule Ear" percussion lock with single trigger control. Walnut double cheekpiece stock with brass furniture and pewter nosecap. Hardwood rod riding in iron barrel under ramp. Rifle has architecture similar to guns made in New York and around the Great Lakes region. CONDITION: Overall good with aged patina surface Wood has traces of varnish with some cracks around lock and a replaced piece in front of lock. Dark bore with visible rifling. Good mechanics. DLM
