Serial number 9435 puts manufacture at 1862. Single line barrel address with standard blade front sight and notch rear sight. Extensively acid etched engraving with depictions of flowing florals, cylinder decorated with equatorial patent rollmark and six vignettes of simple floral and geometric dot decoration. Matching "H2" assembly numbers found on cylinder face, rear of barrel assembly, and frame. Approximately 40 hash marks have been cut along the left side of the barrel of the barrel flats. 2 piece ivory grips with "507" on interior. Period silver plating. CONDITION: Very good, most silver plating has lifted with some spots of tarnishing throughout and some normal handling marks throughout. Acid etched engraving is crisp. Some normal handling marks throughout and a few spots of darkness that do not detract. Ivory grips are very good with a mellow color and a few tight cracks that are stable. PROVENANCE: Dr. Gerald Klaz collection. EW
