Small steel bead front sight with 1/8th raised spearpoint rib over breech with matting throughout and floral sprig where raised rib slopes down. Tapered slightly concave rib. Barrels engraved "Atlanta Outfitters GA US Agent" and "Auguste Francotte Liege". Hidden third fastener. Action flats with appropriate Belgian proofs. Splinter forearm with Anson style release and checkered in point pattern. Exterior of iron and area around release engraved with scroll and lined borders, interior of iron with engine turning and serial number. Boxlock action engraved with scroll and vignettes of dove in flight on left and quail on ground on right. Engraver's signature J. Vielvoye near trigger guard. Action with double triggers and bushed strikers. Exquisite English straight grip stock with wonderful reddish hue and fiddleback figuring. Point pattern checkering at wrist and checkering on butt. Housed in a tan leather case with green felt lining on interior. CONDITION: Excellent. Barrels retain the vast majority of their finish with a few light marks from handling and operation. Action with a few spots of age related staining, engraving is crisp. Wood is very good retaining the vast majority of finish with a few minor marks from the field. Forearm with one minor compression on right side, buttplate with a few serrations. Checkering very good with a few minor abrasions. Action works appropriately when cycled by hand, bores are excellent. Ejectors are in time. Case is fine. A lovely small bore. EW
