Circa 1992. This light and lively 28" chopper lump barrels of blued steel with small steel bead front sight on smooth concave tapered game rib. Left barrel engraved "ARMI Flli BERTUZZI GARDONE V.T. ITALY" with "Flli BERTUZZI" inlaid in gold. Diminutive line engraving over breech. Underside of barrels marked "WML MOORE & CO / WESTLAKE VLG CA" (the importer). Barrels undersides and barrel flats with appropriate Italian nitro proof marks and "ARMI / BERTUZZI. Receiver and lockplates engraved with well executed English pattern rose bouquet and scrolls, bottom of receiver with excellent Bulino engraving of a dog with a woodcock in mouth. Engravers signature, Bernardelli, on right side of trigger plate. "ARMI" "BERTUZZI" "ITALY" and "GARDONE V.T." engraved on action. Engraved self-cocking fish-form hammers. Double triggers with front being articulated. Trigger guard with right rolled edge and long engraved tang. European walnut stock with classic drop points, English style straight hand grip with point pattern checkering at wrist, cast approximately 1/2" off. Engraved skeleton steel buttplate with checkered wood. Diminutive point pattern checkered splinter forend with Anson style push button release and Bertuzzi heraldic crest in gold. Last two digits of serial number on interior iron. Housed in a leather Bertuzzi makers case with brass corners and wine colored interior, Bertuzzi heraldic crest in lid, accompanied by round nickel oil bottle, pair of nickel snap caps, 2 piece cleaning rod, mop, jag, brush, and a bottle of oil. CONDITION: Very Good. Barrels retain 90% blue. Right barrel with some minor blemishes along with some soft wear at muzzle. Forend with a few very minor handling marks. Stock is very good with a few minor handling marks. Action works appropriately when cycled by hand, ejectors are well timed, barrels are tight on face. Bores are bright. Case and accessories are fine. A great little gun! CP
