26" chopper lump barrels with single steel bead on hand matted tapered concave rib. Left barrel engraved "LIBERO FERRAGLIO - ITALIA - " W. L. MOORE - AGOURA C. -" ". Barrel flats with appropriate Italian nitro proofs and date code for 1979. Splinter ejector foreand with Anson release with escutcheon around release and a teardrop escutcheon in center. Point pattern checkering is well cut at forearm. Action is almost completely covered with well executed tight minute scroll engraving, including underneath the opening lever with gold line accents around hinge pin, sideplates, recoil shields, and at cocking indicators. Double triggers with front trigger articulated. Engraver's signature, "A Bregoli" near trigger guard. Non automatic safety with "SAFE" inlaid in gold. Well streaked and fiddle figured English style straight grip stock is cast slightly off with borderless point pattern checkering and long tang along belly and brass escutcheon at toe. Round teardrops behind sidepanels. Checkered wood butt. Housed in a green canvas wrapped case with leather corners and accessories comprising a set of .410 snapcaps. CONDITION: Excellent, retaining virtually all of the finishes. Barrels retain virtually all of its black with a few very minor marks from handling and operation. Forearm with a few extremely minor marks. Action has some extremely fine pitting in a few areas. Wood is very good with a few marks. Action works appropriately when cycled by hand, bores have some orange peel in barrels, largely toward breeches. Case is fine. A lovely small bore. EW
