Lot consist of: (A) Springfield Model 1903 bolt action rifle. Made 1920 with "SA / (Flaming bomb) / 7-32" barrel. Blued "R" marked Remington bolt. Bolt is electropenciled numbered to match the serial number on the rifle. Stock is unmarked. Metal retains a World War II era parkerization. Oil finished, straight wood stock with finger grooves. Smooth metal butt plate with trap door. Missing front sling swivel. CONDITION: Metal retains 80% of its finish with light wear and handling marks. Wood is very good with dings, dents and scratches. Clean, crisp bore with sharp rifling. Mechanically fine. (B) Springfield Model 1903 bolt action rifle. Made 1918 with proper "SA / (Flaming bomb) / 2-18" barrel. Most likely a World War II rebuild. Milled trigger guard with 1903 swept back bolt. "R" marked Remington rear sight and safety. Incorrect stamped rear band. Stock is upside down marked "RA-P". World War II parkerized finished. Unfinished scant stock with smooth metal butt plate and trap door. Includes unmarked canvas web sling. CONDITION: Metal retains 80% of its finish with light wear and handling marks. Stock is good overall with dents, scratches and handling marks. Bore is frosted with good overall rifling. Mechanically fine. JWA
