Lot consists of: (A) U. S. Model 1884 Trapdoor Springfield rifled musket made in 1889. Blued rifled barrel with pinned front sight and missing rear sight with barrel marked "VP / (Eagle) / P". "U.S. Springfield" marked lock with "Eagle". Breechblock marked with "U.S. Model 1884". Walnut full military stock with "SWP 1889" cartouche and "P" in circle cartouche. Comes with original ramrod. CONDITION: Overall fair with metal turning plum with light coat of pitting. Wood has oil soaked appearance with heavy usage marks. Shootable bore with good mechanics. (B) Unique period made Trapdoor pistol made in 1876 from a rifled musket. Blued round rifled cut down barrel with dovetail blade front sight (missing blade) with moved rear sight. Breech marked with "VP" and "Eagle". Breech block marked "US Model 1873". "U.S. Springfield" and "Eagle" marked lock. Walnut plain stock made using original 2 piece trigger guard and barrel band. CONDITION: Overall good with some surface pitting. Wood has small usage cracks with carry marks. Shootable bore and good mechanics. DLM
