Lot consists of: (A) Marlin Model 1936 lever action rifle made in 1936 by Marlin Firearms Company New Haven, Connecticut. The 1936 was made for one year then changed to the Model 36. Gun has blued "Special Smokeless Steel" barrel with hooded ramp front sight and adjustable Marble's rear sight. Barrel marked with Marlin address and caliber marking. Case hardened frame marked "Marlin Safety" on top. Walnut plain pistol grip stock with black plastic buttplate. Walnut plain bulged forearm with 2/3 magazine tube. CONDITION: 70% fading blue with some light surface freckling. 60% case colors fading to a plum color. Wood has traces of varnish with small handling and usage dings. Buttplate possibly a replacement with some separation at the toe. (B) Winchester Model 90 slide action tube fed rimfire rifle made by Winchester Repeating Arms Company New Haven, Connecticut circa 1940. Blued octagon barrel with pedestal front sight and rear adjustable sight. Model and Winchester address and patents on left with caliber marking. Winchester proof mark on top of barrel and action. Blued takedown action with matching numbers on frame and trigger group. Walnut plain stock with steel crescent buttplate. Walnut corrugated forearm with blued tubular magazine. CONDITION: 80% fading blue with wear on corners. 60% fading blue on receiver with balance turning a plum patina. Traces of original varnish with light scratches and dings. Good bore and mechanics.
