Watson Brothers break action single shot shotgun. Made in England circa 1910. Round steel barrel with bead front sight. Top of the barrel is marked "WATSON BROS 7. BURY STREET. ST. JAMES. LONDON.". Frame and barrel are both marked "6657". Barrel has an additional number "10285" stamped above the serial number. "18565" is stamped behind the grip cap on the stock as well. Forend serial number reads "45741". Barrel under the forearm is marked "DURANGO TRDS DRGO COL". Birmingham proofs on the barrel and frame. Right side of the chamber is marked "NITRO PROOF" with proofs followed by "7/16 OZ". Barrel is blued, while the framed is polished with checkering and engraving. The letters "MD" are engraved into the tang. Wood stocks have checkering on the forearm and wrist. Capped pistol grip and plastic butt plate. Cylinder choke bore with a 2 - 1/2" chamber. CONDITION: Metal retains 80% of its original finish with light wear. There is some very light surface rust on the interior of the frame. Wood has mild handling marks and scratches. Bore has some very light pitting towards the chamber, otherwise clean. Tight action. JWA
