The "Chichester" Rifle Company was a company in Jersey City, New Jersey that sold guns made by other companies and branded them as their own. In this case a Hopkins and Allen "XL No.5" spur trigger 7 shot rimfire revolver. Gun has 7 - 1/2" round rifled barrel with blade front sight, Patent dates "Pat MCH 28, 71 MAY 27,79" and "CHICHESTER" on top of nickel plated spur trigger frame. Gun comes with black hard rubber dog's head grips and detachable walnut board stock. A seldom seen and interesting gun. CONDITION: 90% Original nickel finish with some flaking. Good grips with stock having most of a rubbed finish remaining with some small handling marks and dings. Dark pitted bore with functioning mechanics. DLM
