Circa 2019. A nice pair of 20 bore side by sides with well crafted blacked 29" chopper lump barrels. Built by David Sinnerton, the former Purdey finisher and now known as one of the best known U.K. gunmakers. The guns barrels are built on the "Holland & Holland" styled self opening mechanism. Barrels have smooth narrow/tapered concave game ribs with their appropriate numbers "1" and "2" in gold just ahead of a bit of floral scroll near breech and with small brass front bead sights. Ribs read "D.H. SINNERTON, LONDON, ENGLAND". Their chamber lengths are 2 -3/4". Chokes are Modified and Modified on the pair of guns. Barrels are stamped with London proofs and guns serial numbers on stamped on bottom of all tubes. The handsome Turkish walnut stocks with rich and smoky grain, English straight grip, fine point closely separated checkering, traditional drop points behind Holland & Holland styled sidelocks, gold oval with fancy cursive engraved "CMC" are finished to a fine checkered butt. The brushed coin finished sidelock ejector actions are nicely engraved with fine rose and scroll with "D.H. SINNERTON" at top of action bar. Engraver's signature of Martin Smith sits at center right of the case colored double triggers. Trigger guard bow with rolled right hand edge, long bottom strap also handsomely engraved with rose and scroll with serial numbers at center of strap. Actions are built with gold line cocking indicators and auto safes "SAFE" in gold. Forend with sharp checkering, Anson style push release with gold "1" and "2" on engraved escutcheon and serial numbers stamped on interior iron metal. Pair comes in a makers double oak and leather case with canvas outer which is fitted with a "D.H.SINNERTON" leather case label, brass snap caps, cleaning rod, nickel plated oil bottle and cleaning tools. In addition to the cleaning tools the case contains spare parts such as firing pins and replacement springs. CONDITION: Excellent/new. Guns retain 99% finish throughout with very fine/minor handling marks. Engraving is pristine and sharp. Barrel bores are bright and barrels are tight on face. Action and ejectors work perfectly when cycled. Case and outer canvas cover is very fine with only very few handling, storage marks. Very nice pair of new excellently made guns. CP
