Manufactured in 1956 and put away for the last 66 years. This gun has a very unique serial number being 1300. This stunning Python has the factory deep royal blue finish. The grips are the early style that are fully checkered with gold medallions. Ramp front and adjustable factory rear sights. 6 shot fluted swing out cylinder. This is the most desirable of snake guns that Colt made. It comes in the bottom half of the original 2 piece wood grain box. The serial number is written in grease pencil on the bottom of the box. It also has the original factory target that is serial numbered to the gun. The warranty card, screwdriver, and how to "Handling The Handgun" pamphlet is also in the box. CONDITION: This gun retains 98.5% of the factory applied high polish royal blue finish with just a couple of very slight handling and storage marks. The sights and sight rail has the correct matte finish. Checkered grips are sharp and crisp with no chips or cracks. Bright and shiny bore with sharp lands and grooves. 1 corner of the box is split and it is missing the box lid. The center piece in any snake gun collection or a spectacular gun to add to any collection. REW
