1910 vintage Colt Single Action Army revolver, serial number 314448. 4 - 3/4" round barrel chambered in .45 Colt with standard SAA front sight and notched rear. 2 piece checkered gutta percha grips with Rampant Colt on either side. Matching serial numbers on backstrap, trigger guard, and frame. Marked with 2 line Colt Hartford, CT address on top of barrel with ".45 COLT" on left side. Accompanying this lot is a factory letter confirming serial number, caliber, barrel length, and finish. Part of a 20 gun shipment to Simmons Hardware Co. in St. Louis, Missouri October 27, 1910. CONDITION: Good with almost all of the original bluing and case hardening turned to a dove-gray patina with scattered handling marks and light pitting. Grips are good, showing moderate wear. Action works correctly and locks tightly. Bore is frosted with visible rifling. -TN-
