1927 vintage Colt Single Action Army revolver, serial number 350566. 5 - 1/2" round barrel chambered in .45 Long Colt with standard SAA front sight and notched rear. Marked with single line Colt Hartford, CT address on top of barrel and ".45 COLT" on left of barrel. Matching serial numbers on frame, backstrap, and trigger guard (serial numbers are inside of grips on backstrap and trigger guard). 2 piece checkered hard rubber grips with Rampant Colt on either side. Accompanied by a factory letter confirming serial number, caliber, barrel length, finish, and type of stocks. This gun was shipped to Potchernicks (this was the second oldest continually operating sporting goods store in the United States and was in operation from 1904-1991) in San Antonio, Texas October 7, 1927 and was the only gun in this shipment. CONDITION: Excellent with most of the original bluing remaining with some thinning and high edge wear and scattered light pitting and handling marks. Frame retains bright case colors in protected areas. Grips are excellent and free from cracking or repairs with checkering and Rampant Colts still sharp. Action works correctly and locks tightly. Bore is frosted with sharp lands and grooves. An interesting Texas shipped Single Action Army in great condition overall and would fit nicely in any Colt SAA collection. -TN-
