1894 vintage Colt Single Action Army revolver, serial number 158121. 5 - 1/2" round barrel chambered in .32 Winchester Center Fire (.32-20 WCF) with standard SAA front sight and notched rear. Matching serial numbers on backstrap, trigger guard, and frame. Marked with 1 line Colt Hartford, CT barrel address with ".32 WCF" on left side. Blackpowder frame. 2 piece checkered gutta percha grips with Rampant Colt on either side. Accompanying this lot is a factory letter that confirms serial number, caliber, barrel length, and finish. This gun was shipped to J.F. Schmelzer & Son of Kansas City, KS August 22, 1894. CONDITION: Good, with virtually all of the original finish turned to a dove-gray patina with scattered moderate to heavy handling marks with light pitting. Grips are original and show significant wear but remain strong with no visible cracks or repairs. Action works correctly and is tight. Bore is dark with visible rifling and heavy abrasion. An honest "Old West" shipped Single Action Army. -TN-
