1910 vintage Colt Single Action Army revolver, serial number 315741. 5 - 1/2" round barrel chambered in .45 Colt with standard SAA front sight and notched rear. Matching serial numbers on backstrap, trigger guard, and frame. Top of barrel marked with 1 line Colt Hartford, CT address with ".45 COLT" marked on left side. 2 piece checkered gutta percha grips with Rampant Colt on either side. Comes with factory letter confirming serial number, caliber, barrel length, and finish. This gun was part of a 2 gun shipment to Norvell Shapleigh Hardware Co. of St. Louis, MO January 20, 1911. CONDITION: Good, with almost all of the original finish turned to a brown patina with moderate to heavy handling marks and pitting. Grips show heavy wear with checkering nearly flat and some light chips throughout. Action works correctly and locks tightly. Bore is lightly frosted with sharp rifling. -TN-
