1903 vintage Colt Single Action Army revolver, serial number 243467. 4 - 3/4" round barrel chambered in .38 Winchester Center Fire (.38-40 WCF) with standard SAA front sight and notched rear. Marked with 2 line Colt Hartford, CT address on barrel with ".38 W.C.F." on left side of barrel. 2 piece checkered gutta percha grips with Rampant Colts on both panels. Comes with factory letter confirming serial number, caliber, barrel length, finish, and type of stocks. This revolver was shipped to Hibbard, Spencer, Bartlett & Company (which later became True Value Hardware) in Chicago, Illinois July 13, 1903. CONDITION: Good, with small traces of original bluing in protected areas with balance turning a dove-gray patina. Moderate to heavy pitting overall on metal assemblies with some handling marks. Grips are strong with no visible cracks or repairs but are heavily worn. Action works correctly and locks tightly. Bore is dark with visible rifling and heavy abrasion. -TN-
