Enfield Model 1917 bolt action rifle made by Remington Arms Company in Ilion, New York in April of 1918. "R" marked blued steel barrel with flaming bomb and dated "7-18". Correct "R" marked front sight and correct "R" marked rear sight graduated to 1600 yards. Blued action with receiver marked "U.S. Model of 1917 Remington 428809". "R" marked bolt with "Flaming bomb". Walnut full military finger groove stock marked with "R" at end with blued unmarked hardware. Stock has "MM" near bayonet band and "Eagle" in front of floorplate and behind triggerguard. Comes with "Hoyt" leather sling dated 1918 and inspector marked "JJM". CONDITION: 80% plus blue with light handling marks. Wood has original military finish with light storage marks and dings. Sling has some light cracking with no major tears or damage. Excellent bore with good mechanics. DLM
