1892 vintage Winchester Model 1886 Rifle, serial number 70769. 26" octagon barrel with full length magazine tube. Chambered in .38-56 WCF. Rifle style crescent buttplate. Blue with case hardened frame, lever, forearm cap, and buttplate. Plain straight grain walnut stock and forearm. CONDITION: Fine overall. Barrel and magazine tube are mostly brown patina with freckling and areas of original blue. Balance is a grey/brown patina. Wood has been sanded with areas of chipping around the tangs. Bore is very good with areas of abrasion. Action is tight and crisp. -MKS-
