Revolving shotgun made by Roper Sporting Arms Company, Hartford, Connecticut circa 1869 to 1876. Blued smoothbore steel barrel with threaded choke attachment and bead front sight. Blued revolving action with four slots four "Roper" cartridge. Action door marked "Roper Sporting Arms Co. Hartford, Conn. Pat Apr 10, 1866, July 14, 1868". Walnut plain stock with steel buttplate and walnut forearm with pewter base and nosecap. CONDITION: Blue fading to a brown patina with some light freckling. Wood has traces of original finish with large crack at wrist which needs stabilized. Dark bore with good mechanics. Does not come with Roper shell casings. DLM
