Lot consists of: (A) Marlin lever action Model 1881 made in 1885. Blued octagon barrel with blade front sight made from U.S. penny with Marlin address in front of rear buckhorn adjustable rear sight. Blued receiver with case hardened hammer and receiver with plain trigger. Walnut plain stock with spoon buttplate. Walnut plain forearm with full magazine. CONDITION: Overall good with metal turning a brown patina. Wood has bolted wrist repair with traces of original finish with heavy usage marks and dings. Dark bore with good mechanics except missing half cock. (B) Marlin lever action rifle Model 1881 made in 1883. Blued octagon barrel with pedestal blade bead front sight with Marlin address in front of Buckhorn rear adjustable sight. Blued frame with case hardened hammer and lever and plain trigger. Walnut plain stock with smooth steel "spoon" buttplate. Walnut plain forearm. CONDITION: Metal parts turning a silvery brown patina. Wood has wrist repair with dry appearance. Forearm has hairline crack with dry appearance. Dark bore with good mechanics. DLM
