Ansely H. Fox "A" Grade side by side shotgun made by the A.H. Fox Gun Company in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania in 1920. Barrels marked "Chromax Fluid Compressed Steel" and "Made by the A.H. Fox Gun Co. Phila. Pa. U.S.A.". Matted rib with twin bead sights. Case hardened boxlock action with heavy style "A" Grade floral engraving, automatic safety, extractors and double triggers. Walnut round knob pistol grip checkered stock with period "Noshoc" pad. Walnut splinter checkered forearm with latch release. CONDITION: 60% fading blue with action worn to a silvery patina. Wood has crazed look to remaining finish with checkering worn flat. Butt cut enough to add recoil pad. Small chips out of splinter forearm with splinter missing on right side of forearm near iron. Wrist has crack on right side down through checkering. Good bores with good tight lock up and mechanics. DLM
