Ansely H. Fox "Sterlingworth" Grade side by side shotgun made by the A.H. Fox Gun Company in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania in 1917. Sterlingworth Compressed Steel barrels marked as such on right barrel and "Made A.H. Fox Gun Co. Phila. Pa. U.S.A." on the left. Matted rib with brass bead front sight. Case hardened boxlock action with "Sterlingworth" marked on each side of action and borderline engraved. Gun has double triggers and extractors. Walnut checkered pistol grip stock with bakelite buttplate and grip cap. Walnut checkered splinter forearm with friction release. CONDITION: 40% fading blue with action worn to a silvery patina. Stock has repair at wrist with finish having a cracking appearance with usage dings and marks. Checkering is worn flat. Good bores with tight lockup and good mechanics. Good wet weather use gun. DLM
