WWI USMC 5Tth Marine Brigade P1917 forest green tunic with trousers. The tunic is unmarked, but the pants are stamped size 2L and 1918-1919 on the waistline. The wearer's left shoulder displays a machine sewn 11th Marine Regiment patch with white V denoting that this marine served in the 2nd Battalion. Each sleeve displays hand sewn WWI Era USMC PFC crossed rifles patches. The left arm also displays a WWI red discharge chevron as well as a service chevron at the bottom of the sleeve both of which are machine sewn to the tunic. The collar displays a pair of WWI USMC type I collar discs. Below the collar, the left breast displays a WWI service ribbon with star device, and a Marine Corps Good Conduct Medal ribbon. These ribbons, along with a marksman badge are pinned above the pocket. The medals that correspond with the ribbons are pinned to the pocket flap. CONDITION: The tunic and trousers both retain all of the original USMC metal buttons. The tunic liner is very clean with no rips. The tunic is free of noticeable mothing, and the trousers only display a few nips that do not penetrate the wool. Pants have slight staining on the back side. Overall excellent. JD
