Lot consists of (A) Colt Police Positive Target, manufactured in 1941. Features include all blue finish, 6" barrel, partridge front sight, windage adjustable rear sight, flat matte top strap, checkered trigger, hammer, and back strap, as well as two piece Colt medallion checkered walnut grips. Left side of barrel is marked "COLT POLICE/POSITIVE TARGET. CAL. 22", with Colt's 2 line address across the top. Left side of frame is stamped with the Rampant Colt logo. CONDITION: Metal components retain large amounts of their original factory blue finish, showing some wear and thinning that shows through to patina, as well as a few areas of freckling. Mirror bore with well defined rifling throughout. Checkered walnut grips show some smoothing and a few minor handling marks. (B) Colt Army Special, manufactured in 1920. Features include blue finish, 5" barrel, half-moon blade front sight, notched rear sight, checkered hammer, and two piece Colt hard rubber grips, which are hand written to match on the inside. CONDITION: Metal components retain fair amounts of their original factory blue finish, exhibiting wear and thinning all around that shows through to a deep brown patina. Bore is bright, showing a few small areas of light oxidation and retaining good rifling throughout. Hard rubber grips show a few handling marks and indentations. -MLW-
