Totaling only an estimated 2,488 produced between 1920-1941, the Colt Camp Perry pistol is one of the least encountered of all Colt's cartridge firearms. This example was manufactured in 1929, and is marked "CAMP PERRY MODEL" on the left side of chamber, and "CAL .22 LONG RIFLE" on the left side of the barrel with Colt's 2 line address across the top. Rampant Colt present on the left side of frame. Original factory blue finish, fitted with a 10" barrel with Partridge front sight and windage adjustable rear sight. Mounted with Colt checkered walnut silver medallion grips, which are numbered to the gun on the interior of the grip panels. Backstrap and trigger are checkered. Complete with a original unlabeled Colt factory cardboard box containing its paper sleeve, special instructions pamphlet, a well aged 3 cent letter envelope from "COLT's PAT. FIRE ARMS MFG. CO." to a Mr. Howard A. Lebo of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, dated June 9th, 1933, and a Colt factory paper test target dated June 12, 1933 that is matching to the gun. CONDITION: Metal components retain bountiful amounts of their original factory blue finish, exhibiting little wear aside from some light scattered scratches from handling and storage. There is a small chip to the rear left side of the trigger bow. Markings crisp, with the exception of the Rampant Colt logo, which appears to have been lightly stamped on its right hand side. Mirror bore, exhibiting well defined rifling throughout. Checkered walnut silver medallion grips show some smoothing, wear, and few minor indentations. An exceptional Colt Camp Perry pistol, that would be difficult for the discerning collector to upgrade from. -MLW-
