A pair of patinated bronze Art Nouveau sconces in the form of a griffin, each decorated with matching Austrian art glass Loetz shades, decorated with iridescent green circles and lines against an iridescent oil spot background. c. 1910. The pair of bronze wall sconces are both in excellent condition. Finished in a chocolaty brown patina, with negligible loss to finish. No breaks, cracks, or visible repairs to the bronze. A very minor 1/8” scuff to the right wing of one sconce. The shades are in excellent condition with no cracks, repairs, or missing pieces of glass. One small flea bite to the fitter end of one of the shades. Ruffled mouth of the shades are smooth to the touch, with no cracks or flea bites.
