French Art Deco bronze and glass desk lamp by Schneider decorated with a purple graduating to a white mottled and etched shade with some green throughout atop a three-armed gilt bronze stylized Art Deco base with stylized poppy decoration. The shade is etched "Schneider" and the base is unsigned. c. 1920's. The gilt bronze base is in very good condition. The gilt finish is intact and even. There are some scattered and small dark spots on the foot and body of the base. The three arms are free of any breaks, deformities or repairs. GE Bakelite paddle is present and functional. Shade is in excellent condition. The body is free of any cracks or chips. There are a couple of very minor scuffs and scratches which are only visible when lamp is turned off. The fitter edge has a 1/8" chip and several smaller flea bites. The mouth is smooth to the touch and free of any cracks, chips or flea bites.
